We recently carried out urgent remedial work on a large country property following roofing failures caused by previous contractors’ poor workmanship. Our team stripped inadequate fixings and improperly laid slates and tiles, replaced inadequate battens and compromised underlays, renewing leadwork and valley flashings to current British Standards. Temporary weatherproofing was put place to protect the fabric while we completed the remedial sequence, and all new materials are being sourced to match the property's character and longevity requirements. Every stage was documented and checked to ensure water-tightness, structural integrity and compliance with building regulations, restoring the roof to a sound condition and preventing further damage to the interior and historic fabric.
