Reroofing of Historic Listed Barn

Reclaimed clay double Roman tiles were chosen for this re-roofing project on the outskirts of Hereford for several reasons. Firstly, their historical authenticity ensures that the barn’s aesthetic remains true to its original construction period. These tiles, characterised by their distinctive curved profile with a central flat pan and two side flanges, were commonly used in roofing throughout various historic periods. The use of reclaimed tiles also supports environmental sustainability by recycling materials and reducing the need for new production.
