Broadheath House

Broadheath House in Presteigne, a handsome late-Victorian residence built c.1890 with original stone dressings and a steep Westmoreland slate roof, recently received comprehensive roof repairs to preserve its historic fabric and weatherproof its structure.

Works included careful removal and relay of damaged areas of natural slate tiles where required, refurbishment of lead flashing around chimneys and valleys,

All materials and techniques were chosen to match the building’s period character — reclaimed Westmoreland slate, leadwork formed on-site to pattern, while ensuring modern performance standards. The project restored the roof’s integrity, protected original features and extended the life of the building for decades to come.
